Former President Uhuru Kenyatta celebrated his 63rd birthday this Saturday, October 26th.
Although Uhuru is currently abroad, he prayed for the happiness of Kenyans and preached peace for Kenyans.
In a telephone interview with Milele FM, Uhuru said he was feeling well and at peace.
The outgoing president urged Kenyans to embrace unity.
“I am well, at peace, and grateful to God. I pray for peace and understanding for our country because this is the only way our country will grow and prosper.”
“I don’t say much now, but I wish Kenyans peace and unity. We all should know that we are human beings and have needs, and we should stop hating each other.” ,” the former president said.
“I have never had a problem with anyone and to this day I have not had a problem with anyone,” he reiterated.
Uhuru said he normally celebrates his birthday with his family, but this year he will be celebrating with friends as he is out of the country.
The former President is currently in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, to attend the 15th High-Level Meeting on Promoting Peace, Security and Stability in Africa.
The withdrawal, which began on October 25th, will end on 26th 2024.
Uhuru is attending the event as a facilitator of the East African Community (EAC)-led Nairobi peace process.

Uhuru expressed gratitude to God for adding another year and prayed that he would continue to bless Kenyans.

He dedicated a reggae song to his wife Margaret Kenyatta.
“I Got You Babe by UB40,” Uhuru said when asked what song it was.
His favorite meal used to be “nyama choma,” but he has had to cut back on it because of his age.
On his 62nd birthday last year, traders at Gatundu Market organized a party to celebrate the outgoing president.
Traders cut a cake decorated with the Kenyan flag, and one tire was decorated with a coat and tie.
Soft drinks that can be diluted and drunk were also on display.
However, the former president did not attend the party.
