Method dressing, named after Blake Lively!
Over the weekend, the actress continued her press tour for It Ends With Us, showing off a limitless number of vibrant, quirky floral outfits. Lively wore not one, but 10 outfits that in some way referenced her character, a florist named Lily Bloom.
Today, the actress stepped out in a vintage Christian Dior skirt suit from Fall 1997 designed by John Galliano. It looks like polka dots, but on closer inspection, it’s actually printed with daisies. But she didn’t dwell on the archival piece for long; she quickly changed into a cropped leather jacket and long shorts featuring the Dauphinette flora and fauna, and then into a leather midi skirt and cropped tank top in the same design.
When it comes to her promotional outfits, Lively has taken the opportunity to spotlight both big-name brands and smaller designers. She has shown a particular fondness for Dauphinette, a brand she has worn for several outings. For the launch of haircare brand Blake Brown, she wore an ostrich-feather-embellished sheath dress, before slipping into a beaded minidress and colorful overcoat, accessorizing with a fairy-worthy mushroom-shaped handbag. A few days later, on August 3, she wore the brand again, opting for a hot pink minidress with a vest and belt made of resin-encased flowers. She kept warm in the sweltering humidity of New York City in a matching overcoat embroidered with sweet floral motifs.
But Livlie also draws on her longstanding relationships with top brands. For one outing, she paired a sky blue Chanel T-shirt printed with white flowers with blue straight-leg trousers featuring cool navy florals. She didn’t skimp on accessories, adding a rhinestone-encrusted rose handbag. She also enlisted help from her friends at Versace, teaming a red floral mini dress from Resort 2025 with matching yellow tights and a sheer crystal-flower top and embroidered jeans with a pale pink bra and underwear set.
There’s no shortage of floral pieces in her closet, and with still a few days until the release of “It Ends With Us,” we’re curious to see what other designer pieces Blake Lively will be sporting.
