This comes as a surprise to many, since such a salary is considered very lucrative in India.

The trend of Indian youth migrating abroad in search of work continues to grow, with many seeking opportunities in countries such as Canada, the United States (New York), Australia, Oman, and Japan. Among them, Canada remains a top choice for both education and employment due to its immigrant-friendly policies and abundant job opportunities. However, many Indians find it increasingly difficult to survive there due to the rising cost of living.

An Indian woman working at a bank in Canada recently highlighted the harsh reality of inflation in the country. She expressed that although she earns an annual income of 6 million rupees, it is not enough to maintain a comfortable life. This comes as a surprise to many, since such a salary is considered very lucrative in India. But rising housing, utility and daily living costs in Canada are putting a strain on even high salaries. This reflects the growing challenge of maintaining financial stability overseas, particularly in countries like Canada, where inflation rates are outpacing wage growth.

The woman featured in the viral video, who works as a technician at TD Bank in Canada, spoke of her concerns about the high cost of living despite her seemingly respectable salary. He has 10 years of work experience and an annual salary of $95,000 (approximately Rs. 60 million rupees). However, she expressed dissatisfaction with her financial situation, explaining that this salary was not enough to cover the high expenses associated with living in Canada. In this video, shared by Piyush Monga on Instagram, the woman candidly talks about the economic challenges she faces.

The woman featured in this viral video has lived in Canada for the past three years and highlighted how quickly the cost of living has risen during her stay. She said that when she first moved to Canada, the price of butter was about $4, but now it has doubled to about $8. This rapid increase in daily spending highlights the growing impact of inflation in Canada. Comparing inflation in Canada and India, he noted that prices for essential goods have increased significantly, making Canada much more expensive. In a video that went viral, the woman revealed that she lives in Toronto, one of Canada’s most expensive cities. She revealed that she pays $1,600 (approximately Rs. 1.34 million) per month for a house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. People in the comments section advised her to return to India and find a job here.
