In case you didn’t know, bohemian style is back, and the person spearheading it is none other than Jennifer Lopez. The Birkin aficionado has embraced the free-spirited trend with sheer maxi dresses, patchwork denim skirts, and plenty of raffia accessories. Earlier this month, she leaned into the style more than ever, teaming a sheer, ruffled Chloé dress with matching flowy boots.
While the latter ensemble was just the tip of the bohemian iceberg, Lopez proved she could take the aesthetic even further with her latest outfit. On Saturday, the star stepped out in Beverly Hills in an outfit that harkened back to the original bohemian movement of the ’70s (with a touch of the early 2000s). In photos published by People magazine, the “Can’t Get Enough” singer was seen wearing a black top, bell-bottom jeans, and cozying up in a chunky knit burgundy cardigan.
But it was her playful accessories that really brought her easy-going look to life. Most eye-catching was a burgundy suede crossbody bag reminiscent of a Y2K Chloé design, featuring a circular cut-out outlined with silver trim and cascading fringe. The cool trimming fell just below Lopez’s knees, making the striking bag the undoubted centerpiece of her outfit.

The black newsboy cap she wore over her brown hair also seemed to make a comeback from the 2000s, and to further accentuate her low-key look, she added a pair of large, black, square sunglasses to the look, though her trademark gold hoop earrings made her instantly recognizable.
Jennifer Lopez wore a similar outfit last week for a surprise reunion with ex-husband Ben Affleck, whom she filed for divorce from in August. At lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where Lopez’s twins, Emme and Max, 16, and Affleck’s Finn, 15, and Samuel, 12, were also in attendance, Lopez paired flared dark blue jeans with a skin-tight turtleneck. She accessorized with several silver rings, but notably wore her engagement ring on her pinky finger.
