Former MLB player Alex Rodriguez, who was previously engaged to Jennifer Lopez, posted a cryptic statement on Instagram amid reports of his split from Bennifer.
Jennifer Lopez recently filed for divorce from Ben Affleck. Although the couple has yet to make an official statement, Ben was recently spotted out in Los Angeles without his wedding ring. Shortly after news of Ben’s divorce hit the internet, Jennifer’s ex-fiancé Alex Rodriguez posted a cryptic message on his Instagram story. A quote purportedly from the retired MLB player, posted on The Concept.cept’s Instagram page, read, “If you have to choose one, it’s up to you to decide which direction to go in.” Alex later shared the image on his own Instagram story shortly after news of Jennifer’s divorce filing broke.

Jennifer and Alex began dating in 2017 and got engaged in 2019. The two officially called off their engagement in April 2021. At the time, the former couple released a joint statement to USA Today, saying, “We will continue to work together and support each other on our mutual businesses and projects. We wish each other the best and the best for each other’s children. Out of respect for them, the only thing we can say is thank you to everyone who has sent their kind words and support.”
Jennifer Lopez files for divorce without legal representation
Jennifer filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday. The petition for divorce was filed on their second wedding anniversary in Georgia. The Atlas actress filed for divorce herself, without an attorney or legal representation. She listed her separation date as April 26, 2024, about four months in advance. This timeline makes sense considering the couple was separated over the summer.
Ben Affleck returns to LA
Ben had been living with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their three children until his eldest daughter Violet went to Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. On the day he filed for divorce, Ben flew back to Los Angeles. Ben and Jennifer (Garner) were spotted leaving the airport together in a car.
