Two of the year’s greatest collaborators, Jeremy Allen White and Calvin Klein, have teamed up again.
On Tuesday, Calvin Klein unveiled its latest campaign, its fall 2024 line that includes straight-leg jeans, denim and nylon bomber jackets, and, of course, men’s underwear.
Posing poolside (yes, often shirtless) at his picturesque Los Angeles estate, the Emmy Award-winning “The Bear” star, 33, tried on styles from the brand’s signature trunks, slim-fit jeans, and bare-chested denim vests. The line, which features a “relaxed, statement” fit, inspired White’s summer look.
“No matter what people say, I think denim on denim will always look cool,” White told GQ in an interview about the campaign. “We shot the photo in April, and since then denim on denim has been my go-to for summer evenings, often with a denim button-down shirt and jeans.”
“I’m not a fashion guru,” White admitted, but said she pays attention to her own style, paying attention to “the silhouette, how a shirt sits on your shoulders, where your jeans sit on your waist, how your jeans hang over your boots or sneakers.”

“Comfort and durability are really important, and I like being able to wear more or less the same jeans over and over again,” he says. “I cycle through my clothes, so I’ll wear roughly the same thing, or at least five or six different variations of an item, for a month or two.”
Jeremy Allen White’s Calvin Klein spring campaign sparks uproar online
For the West Coast version of White’s partnership with Calvin Klein, she wears more clothes than she did in her previous campaign, which launched earlier this year and sparked an online frenzy for the on-screen chef.
For the Spring 2024 campaign, the New York-born actor posed on the rooftop of a New York City building. With the city’s famous skyline as a backdrop, the protagonist of his Shameless album does shirtless pull-ups, climbs a ladder in his underwear, casts melancholic gazes at the camera, and lounges on a couch.
In an interview with GQ magazine, White spoke about the experience and why it was so different from acting in front of the camera.
“I was so anxious leading up to filming that I felt a bit crazy,” he said.
“There’s a big difference between being in movies or TV and doing these campaigns and photoshoots, because in movies and TV your job is to forget the camera is there, whereas in these shoots your partner takes on the role of photographer and camera. So I was worried about whether it would work.”
Should I tone it down? The Bear is back — and so is the craving for Jeremy Allen White
Despite his hesitation, the response to the photo shoot was overwhelmingly positive: Not only was the photo shared online, it was also featured on billboards around New York City.
At the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, which took place just days after White’s spring campaign images were released, he and his “The Bear” co-stars were bombarded with questions about the images.
White appeared backstage to answer reporters’ questions after accepting his Golden Globe award for Best Actor, and when asked about people talking more about his abs than his acting, he admitted, “It’s been a weird few days.”
“I couldn’t be more proud of this win,” he said of the Golden Globe award.
