The Bills will face a familiar opponent in Week 2 when they take on the Dolphins on “Thursday Night Football.”
Star quarterback Josh Allen has likely been looking forward to this matchup for months, as he’ll be facing his favorite opponent in primetime.
Allen has dominated the Dolphins throughout his seven-year NFL career, whether it be in the regular season or playoffs, in Buffalo or Miami, and there’s no doubt Allen will add to the win tally against their AFC East rivals.

Josh Allen’s stats against the Dolphins
Allen has a 10-2 record against the Dolphins in the regular season, his most wins against any team in the NFL.
Sure, Allen has played against Miami more than any other team, but his record against the Dolphins is far better than other AFC East opponents, such as the Jets (7-4) and Patriots (6-5).
Allen also went 1-0 against Miami in the playoffs, including a close 34-31 win in the 2023 AFC Wild Card Game in Buffalo.

Josh Allen’s stats against the Dolphins
Allen’s performance against the Dolphins goes hand in hand with his dominant record.
Allen’s 3,363 passing yards, 33 touchdown passes and 683 rushing yards against the Dolphins are career highs against any team in the NFL.
He also had his best individual performance against Miami, setting single-game career highs in passing touchdowns, rushing touchdowns, rushing yards, completions, completion percentage and completion rate.

Allen threw four touchdowns with three touchdowns and zero interceptions against the Dolphins.
In Week 4 of last season’s matchup, Allen recorded the highest passer rating of his career (158.3) and completed 21 of 25 attempts (84.0 percent) for 320 yards and a 48-20 blowout victory.
Again, game volume will likely play a role, but there’s no denying that Allen has been an added advantage every time he plays against Miami. He’s won four straight games against the Dolphins, throwing for over 300 yards and at least two touchdowns in each game.
If recent history is any indication, Allen will have another big game on “Thursday Night Football.”
