The 34-year-old actress shared a mirror selfie showing off her brunette hair transformation on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, July 16. The OMG Fashun host is known for switching up her look, but she previously had platinum blonde hair.
In the photo, Fox’s dark brown hair features face-framing layers and soft, tousled waves. She appears to be wearing minimal makeup and is wearing an oversized grey sweatshirt. She also has bandages on both of her hands. She did not provide a caption for the post but tagged her location as Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The makeup is reminiscent of Fox’s natural brown hair in the 2019 crime drama Uncut Gems, but it actually appears to be a wig. Hairstylist and wig builder Dylan Silver shared a BTS of the look on Instagram.
“A completely handmade custom wig I made for @juliafox for a special project,” Silver captioned the post on Wednesday, July 17. Silver also posted photos of Fox wearing a wig cap, as well as one with the wig on a mannequin.

Fox confirmed that the new look was for a new project after InStyle shared an Instagram Reel featuring a mirror selfie. The post also featured an audio clip of Fox saying she “hates her job,” which has gone viral.

“Looks like @juliafox has a new brunette hairstyle. Since she’s in Canada and not NYC, we can assume she’s… at work,” the outlet captioned the reel.
The actress commented on the post, “At work lol.”

Earlier this month, Foxx spoke out about her sexuality in a TikTok video. In a post on Monday, July 8, the actress responded to a segment in a viral video by user @emgwaciedawgie.
“I love seeing lesbians with their boyfriends and I’m like, ‘Oh you hate that guy,'” @emgwaciedawgie said in the video.
“That was me. I was a lesbian. I’m sorry guys. I’m never doing that again,” Fox told the camera as she walked down the street. In the video, she was seen wearing sunglasses, a grey tank top and her blonde hair pulled back.
