The “John Wick” franchise, which follows one of Hollywood’s most famous assassins, is coming to TV screens for even more action in a TV series.
A sequel series, “John Wick: Under the High Table,” is in the works at Lionsgate Television, “Good Morning America” has confirmed.
Director Chad Stahelski will direct the pilot and lead the team behind the hit “John Wick” series. Stahelski will also serve as executive producer alongside “John Wick” stars Keanu Reeves and Basil Iwanyk and Thunder Road’s Erica Lee.

“The Old Man’s” writer Robert Levin will write and direct the series.
The new series is set to pick up shortly after the release of John Wick: Chapter 4 in 2023. The series will feature some of the most well-known characters from the four John Wick films, as well as some new characters for fans of the Hitman series.
The “John Wick” series includes a total of four films: “John Wick,” “John Wick: Chapter 2,” “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum,” and “John Wick: Chapter 4.”
The four “John Wick” films starred “Matrix” actor Keanu Reeves as a lone assassin seeking revenge at a cost to himself, and the upcoming spinoff, “Ballerina,” stars Ana de Armas.
A prequel series, “The Continent: From the World of John Wick,” is scheduled to be released on Peacock in 2023.
“It’s a fun character to be kind of like, you know, John Wick,” Reeves said about playing the famously ruthless and unstoppable assassin during an interview with Good Morning America in 2023. “But I’m not going to take that home with me,” he added.
