King Charles and Queen Camilla have faced embarrassing scorn from Australia’s leading politicians ahead of their visit to the country.
State premiers have reportedly declined invitations to attend a royal reception in Canberra on October 21 as the couple prepares to begin a nine-day visit Down Under on Friday.
The King will give a speech at the event praising the achievements of Australians in arts, culture, sport and health.
Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan is the latest MP to ignore the invitation, while other politicians have used excuses such as “scheduling conflicts” and “campaign duties”.
Meanwhile, the reality of marrying into the royal family was revealed by Zara Tindall’s husband, who said the experience was “very easy”.

The Prince’s Trust officially changes name

Prince William shows off his ‘incredible arms’ at NFL event
