Lily Collins is clearly not embracing method dressing on the press tour for Emily in Paris. In the Netflix show, which premieres its fourth season tomorrow, August 15, she plays Emily Cooper, a spunky, bright-eyed marketing executive from Chicago who moves to Paris for work and starts dressing like an haute couture candy factory. We love Cooper’s style, but when Collins leaves the set, her style is much more minimalist, or more authentically Parisian.
On Tuesday, for example, Collins showed up to a press conference in Los Angeles in a chic Saint Laurent Anthony Vaccarello ensemble in various shades of brown and black. On top, she wore a stretchy sand-colored bodysuit with a crisscross back detail, tucked into a chocolate brown pencil skirt. The actress cinched the waist of the skirt with a black leather belt with a square gold YSL-branded buckle, and further enhanced the look with a pair of see-through black tights underneath. Collins teamed her head-to-toe Saint Laurent look with shiny black slingbacks. She accessorized with small gold hoop earrings and a matching ring.
It was an outfit that could easily go from the office to the red carpet, and Collins rocked the glamorous sunset-inspired look with auburn eyeshadow and a matching rusty brown lip. Her French bob was perfectly straight, with one side tucked behind her ear.
