“Someone suggested I try Japanese food, which is one of the healthiest diets in the world and includes some of my favorite foods,” Lizzo said in an Oct. 10 Instagram video. It’s because there is.”
“Tests and research have shown that animal protein can help increase energy, lose weight, and relieve mental fog,” she added.
An “ex-vegan who added protein to her diet”, she has started incorporating chicken and other foods into her diet, but is “aspiring” to go vegan again someday.
“I would like to become a raw alkaline vegan someday,” she explained. “Up until then, this diet had helped me achieve my goals and feel better about my body.”

In an Instagram video, the singer shared that she starts her day with lemon water. Her breakfast included egg white cups, cauliflower, hash browns, and fruit. Afterwards, she rehydrated with okra water before having a buffalo chicken lettuce wrap for lunch. She ended her “What I Eat In A Day” video with homemade peach tea and grilled chicken asparagus and carrots.
Lizzo said it was her “diet” that helped her achieve her goals, before noting that she was “scary” to go public about her decision to go vegan because it’s a sensitive topic. She explains how people turn to veganism for a variety of reasons, including health and environment, and goes about it without judging others.

This dietary change comes after the Grammy Award-winning artist recently made his first public appearance since losing weight. She recently revealed that she had a tough time overcoming a diet setback.
“I ate too much yesterday,” Lizzo wrote on top of her TikTok video on September 30th. “And I feel really bad about it.”
Wearing a long-sleeved white and red striped shirt and denim skirt, the 36-year-old continued by sharing the mantra she uses to encourage herself in the midst of disappointment.
