PARIS — It’s official: Blackpink’s Lisa is now a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton.
The K-pop star made waves when she attended the French fashion house’s fall 2024 ready-to-wear show in March.
Her appearance at Paris Fashion Week was greeted by crowds of enthusiastic fans, but since 2020 she has been a brand ambassador for Celine, which, like Vuitton, is owned by luxury goods conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
She also appeared at the brand’s Summer 2022 show, which was filmed in Nice, France.
The Thai performer, born Larisa Manovar, joined Louis Vuitton while solidifying her solo career after the four members of Blackpink declined to renew their individual contracts with longtime management company YG Entertainment in December last year.
BLACKPINK handles all group activities in cooperation with the agency.
Manobal has launched his own management company, Lloud Co., and recently partnered with RCA Records to release a new single, “Rockstar.”
The song debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Global 200 chart, becoming her third top 10 hit following singles “Larisa” and “Money” in 2021. The song also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Exclusive US rankings.
The video has been viewed more than 120 million times on YouTube since it was released on June 28th.
Manovar will also be making his film debut in a leading role in season three of HBO’s hit series, The White Lotus, which is set in Thailand.

“Lisa is a trend-setter across the board and approaches her work with fearless authenticity,” Louis Vuitton said in a statement, adding that her “bold outfit choices” are in line with the vision of Nicolas Ghesquière, artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s women’s collections.
“Her ambitious and bold achievements speak to Louis Vuitton’s core values, combining a passion for creativity with a commitment to craftsmanship excellence,” the brand added.
Making his first appearance at a Louis Vuitton show, Manobal wore bold black leather shorts and black stockings, layered with a ruffled crop top and lavishly embroidered frock coat from Ghesquière’s 18th century-inspired Spring 2018 collection.
According to the brand, she accessories included a Pic Trunk camera bag and LV Knot pumps.
“Nicolas Ghesquière’s identity is strongly reflected in the designs he creates, which makes his work for Louis Vuitton so special. I am excited to see how his ideas are brought to life,” Manoval said.
“I am incredibly excited to have Lisa as an ambassador for the House. She has a bold spirit and charisma that I find very appealing,” enthused Ghesquière.
“She’s as bold and creative in music as she is in fashion, and it’s an honor to join her on this journey,” he added.
Manobar joins a growing roster of female Louis Vuitton brand ambassadors that includes Zendaya, Emma Stone, Deepika Padukone, Ho Young and Ana de Armas.
Other Vuitton ambassadors with ties to K-pop include Felix from Stray Kids, J-Hope from BTS, Haein from New Jeans and South Korean boy band Riize.
Manovar, who has 104 million followers on Instagram, is also an ambassador for Roman jewellery brand Bvlgari and MAC Cosmetics.
Acclaimed for his singing, rapping and dancing, the Thai music sensation has become a fashion icon – in 2021 he served as a judge for the prestigious French fashion award ANDAM. Last year, his performance at Paris cabaret Crazy Horse sparked a heated debate about morality on Chinese social media platforms.
