Luke Combs has been making waves since releasing his No. 1 debut single “Hurricane” in 2016. Less than a decade after making his mark on the world, he’s one of the biggest names in country music. Combs recently achieved a major career milestone, putting him on par with country greats like Alan Jackson and George Strait.
With his latest single “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” topping the charts for two weeks in a row, Combs has officially been at the top of the charts for more than a year. In his short career, he logged 53 weeks at the top of various charts. Few country artists have accomplished this feat before him. Now he stands in an elite club with Jackson, Strait, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton and Toby Keith.

This feat comes after Combs had 18 songs at the top of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart and 19 consecutive No. 1s on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart.

Luke Combs reacted to his latest achievement in a press release. “Honestly, I’m speechless,” he said. “I didn’t realize this until the team told me. I’m really surprised,” he added.
“Country radio’s support for my music and my fans has always been more than I could have ever imagined. I’ve always known they were huge supporters of my music, but this has been a It proves it in a meaningful way,” Combs continued. “I never thought I would be at number one for a week, but when it actually happened, it felt like I won the lottery. “Having my song at No. 1 for an entire year is more than I could have ever dreamed of,” he added.
Mr. Combs concluded his statement by thanking those who helped accomplish this momentous feat. “Thank you, Country Radio, for allowing this young man from North Carolina, who no one had ever heard of when you started playing my music, to live out his dreams and do what he loves. ” he said.
