The crossover coupe can be ordered for less than 36,000 euros
Lynk & Co has unveiled its first European EV, known as the 02. The rear-wheel-drive crossover coupe has 268 horsepower and a range of up to 447 miles. Prices vary by country, but in major markets the model starts at 35,995 euros.
China’s invasion of Europe continues as Lynk & Co unveils the new 02. This is the company’s first electric car for the Old Continent, but it will also be sold in China as the Z20.
Billed as a striking five-door crossover coupe, the 02 features an aerodynamically optimized front end with split lighting units and active shutter intake. Designers also gave this model a panoramic glass roof, two-tone paint, and 19- or 20-inch wheels. Other notable highlights include flush-mounted door handles and a prominent rear spoiler with integrated taillights.

Strangely enough, this model has a “Hey Honk” feature. This is a customizable sound that allows for “friendly” interactions with pedestrians and other road users. Lynk & Co said that after testing, “for pedestrians, the system was found to be a preferable alternative to the typical startling horn sound.”
In terms of size, the crossover is 175.6 inches (4460 mm) long, 72.6 inches (1845 mm) wide, and 61.9 inches (1573 mm) tall, with a wheelbase spanning 108.5 inches (2755 mm). This means this model is the same length as a Toyota Corolla Cross, but with an extra 4.6 inches (117 mm) between the wheels.
Stylish, high-tech interior
The minimalist cabin features a two-tier dashboard and an “aviation-inspired” oval steering wheel. The driver sits behind a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, with most controls operated via a 15.4-inch infotainment system.
The interior features an interesting mix of recycled and translucent materials and speckled accents. Buyers will also find dual wireless chargers, a heated steering wheel, and heated power front seats. There’s also the Journey Camera, which allows users to “capture memories from their travels by taking selfies and group photos directly from the rearview mirror.”
Another strange feature is the so-called “sharing strap”. It’s located next to the steering wheel, and the company says “a gentle pull takes users directly to the sharing app, allowing them to start sharing their car in just a few steps.”
Those who don’t want to share will find a frunk that can hold 0.6 cubic feet (15 liters) of gear. Connected to this is a 14.5 cubic foot (410 liter) trunk.
Up to 277 miles of range with rear-wheel drive
The Lynk & Co 02 features Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture and is powered by a 66 kWh NMC lithium-ion battery. It powers a rear-mounted motor that produces 268 hp (200 kW / 272 PS) and 253 lb-ft (343 Nm) of torque. This allows the model to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-62 mph) in 5.5 seconds, before reaching 112 mph (112 mph).
Speaking of fast, the 150 kW DC fast charger can charge your battery from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes. When fully charged, drivers can expect up to 277 miles (445 km) on a single charge.
Safety is a top priority with 21 features including automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and front and rear cross-traffic alert. These are joined by intelligent cruise control, lane change assist, blind spot detection and traffic sign recognition.
This model is available to order now, with prices starting at 35,495 euros in Italy. However, in most other countries, including Germany, France and the Netherlands, it starts at €35,995.
