As you may know, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection made its digital debut on Switch this week, followed by a physical release on November 22, 2024.
Unfortunately, Europe won’t be getting an official physical release on Nintendo’s platform, with Capcom providing an update on the European version of the game via social media, mentioning how the Switch release will be delivered as a “code in a box.”
Capcom Europe: “The physical version for Switch (code included) and PS4 (disc included) will be available on November 22nd. Check with your local store for details. Offerings may vary.”
Let’s go for a drive with the #MvCFightingCollection!

As you can probably imagine, this news wasn’t well received among fans who were hoping for a physical release of the Switch in the region. At the moment, this only specifically refers to a physical release in Europe, with regions like North America and Japan still getting a physical game cartridge.
Pre-orders are already open on websites like Best Buy in the US, with no mention that the collection will be a “code-in-box” release in the region like other Switch releases. We’ll keep you updated if there are any updates.
Have you purchased the digital version of this collection or are you waiting for a physical copy? Let us know in the comments!
