Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ended their whirlwind tour of Colombia in style and celebration. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the Petronio Music Festival in Cali for their final official engagement on Sunday, August 18, and the Suits cast added to the festive mood with uplifting colors. Markle looked radiant, once again choosing a Colombian designer to wrap up her stay in the Latin American country.
The actress-turned-entrepreneur ditched the sequined skirt and collared shirt combo by Silvia Cherasci she’d worn to her engagement earlier in the evening for a lesson in dopamine dressing: a graphic emerald green and white gown by Andres Otarola that broke with royal style conventions with its barely visible spaghetti straps and a bold, eye-catching print.
The dress’ fitted bodice flattered Markle’s figure with a floral design at the front and a dropped-waist fit, flaring out into a pleated mermaid-style skirt at the top of her thighs. The American Riviera Orchard founder has kept the heat at bay with a variety of updos, including messy ballerina buns and sleek side-parted ponytails, but Markle wore her dark hair down in natural waves during her last appearance with Prince Harry in Colombia.
The former actress, who sported her trademark smoky eye and bronze makeup for the occasion, kept her old gold fan earrings (reportedly a gift from Colombia’s vice president) and Princess Diana’s Cartier Tank Française watch, which she had worn the sentimental timepiece with an all-white outfit during a visit to the Afro-Caribbean village of San Basilio de Palenque in Cartagena the previous day.

The Duke of Sussex stuck to his Columbia blue look for his final night as a married couple, teaming an indigo button-up shirt with black slacks.
The Petronio Music Festival, which celebrates the country’s Afro-Colombian heritage through the revitalization of music, cuisine, art and style, was a fitting end to the couple’s journey, which began in Bogota on Thursday. On Sunday morning, Markle, who called this period of her life a “chapter of joy,” expressed gratitude for the “warmth from Colombia” while speaking at the Black Women & Power: Voices of Equality Summit.

“The culture, the history, everything was like a dream,” she said as she took the stage with Vice President Francia Marquez and author Binaifer Nouroje. “This journey has been like a dream. I have felt this community, and that is the best feeling right now.”
