Continuing their visit to Colombia, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry wrapped up their second day of engagements with a heartfelt event for the prince. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex watched Colombia’s Invictus Games team compete during a training session at the Rehabilitation Inclusive Center in Bogota. The former Suits star looked “very cute and very understated.” Just hours after stepping out in a preppy brown blazer, Markle changed into a feminine polka-dot maxi skirt for the engagement.
The lifestyle entrepreneur wore her hair in the same voluminous side-parted ponytail as she met with military personnel, veterans, and athletes at the event with Prince Harry, again dressing for business casual. Markle paired a long cream A-line skirt with black polka dots and a button-up shirt by Colombian brand Juan de Dios. As always, she rolled up her sleeves and left the top button undone, matching her easy California aesthetic. For her final outing in Bogota, the American Riviera Orchard founder accessorized with emerald and garnet drop earrings, brown strappy heeled leather sandals (an elegant version of this season’s flip-flop trend), bronze makeup, and a hint of smokey eye.
According to the Mirror, the couple toured the facility, watched athletes train, spoke with some athletes about their training routines, and met Korean War veterans. Meghan and Harry were seen beaming as artists from the center presented gifts. The paper reported that the Duchess received hand-knitted animal toys (presumably for Archie and Lilibet), a painting, and a set of beaded necklaces and earrings.
While Prince Harry did not receive a personal gift, the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs did present him with a special award for his work with the Invictus Games: “To express our gratitude and recognition for your dedication and the invaluable opportunity for recovery through sport and the Invictus Games for Colombia’s wounded, injured, sick, active duty military and veterans,” the plaque reads.
