Meghan Markle kept it serious business on Thursday, meeting with Colombian Vice President Francia Marquez in Bogota as the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, embark on a four-day tour of the South American country.
Markle chose a navy Veronica Beard waistcoat with a halter neck and tortoiseshell buttons, paired with matching cropped trousers. The American Riviera Orchard founder also accessorized with Pippa Small kyanite studs, a Lorraine Schwartz tennis bracelet, and a gold Cartier Love bangle. She completed the look with a Loro Piana handbag, suede Manolo Blahnik pumps, and Ray-Ban sunglasses.
Markle wore her dark hair in a sleek updo and added brown eyeshadow and glossy lipstick.
The couple’s trip to Colombia marks their first international trip since visiting Nigeria in May, where they celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, a multi-sport event founded by Harry for injured military personnel serving in Afghanistan.
During their trip to Nigeria, Markle and Prince Harry attended a sitting volleyball match and attended a dinner celebrating Nigeria Unconquered, a charity that partners with the Invictus Games.
Last month, the couple attended the 2024 ESPY Awards, where Prince Harry received the Pat Tillman Award. Markle wore a custom white dress by Oscar de la Renta with an open back and cowl halter neckline. She accessorized with black Celine sandals, a Cartier bracelet, Lorraine Schwartz emerald earrings, and three gold and diamond rings by Rodrigues.
Serena Williams, a close friend of the couple and the host of the 2024 ESPY Awards, featured the couple in her opening speech, saying, “Well, the fact is, I often find myself in the same room as actual royalty, and tonight is no exception. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are here. Let’s give them a round of applause.”
