Branch, the New York lifestyle brand that makes hotel-inspired slippers, has returned to its roots in the city with a pop-up store at 120 Prince Street in Soho. Following the soft opening on Sept. 22, the team will welcome customers to an event called “A Journey to Nowhere” at the store on Sept. 29 from 2-5 p.m.
The event will feature Bon Bon Candy refreshment stations, hot chocolate and live music.
Among several slipper options, Branch recently released a fall line featuring a variety of fall hues. In terms of its physical presence, the brand recently opened a pop-up shop in Amagansett Square in the Hamptons for summer 2024.
FN spoke with Brunch co-founders Joshua and Daniel Sitt via email to talk about the brand’s latest Soho pop-up and what the team is working on next. Joshua Sitt returned to New York City and spoke about the importance of connecting with the local community.
“For us, the main goal of every store is to bring people together and immerse them in an experience that evokes the ultimate feeling of leisure. This pop-up is particularly poignant. New York is our home, and Soho is our home. is where we have lived for the past seven years, so opening a store in this area means we can engage with our closest friends, family, and supporters of the brand. Daniel Sitt detailed the thought process and inspiration behind the pop-up’s design, which features extensive use of exposed wood.
He told FN: “Reflecting our brand ethos, our stores are designed to provide a ‘vacation state of mind’ where leisure is paramount.Designed as a cozy luxury retreat, Brunch Soho is a chic evoking the warmth and comfort of a mountain chalet while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic.
Sitt continued, “The color palette was carefully chosen to reflect our signature style. Rich hues such as forest green and espresso brown create a sense of intimacy and sophistication, while exposed Natural elements such as wood add warmth and authenticity. A physical representation of brunch and all that it stands for, this space invites customers old and new to discover the world of brunch.”
As for what customers can expect from brunch next, Daniel Sitto says: For winter, you can expect classic styles to be reimagined using luxurious fabrics such as suede and shearling. We also plan to enter into a series of hotel partnerships in new markets such as Los Angeles. These partnerships allow us to introduce our brand to new audiences through unique products. ”
“As the holiday season approaches, we plan to release limited edition products such as cashmere silhouettes,” said Joshua Sitt. Beyond footwear, we will continue to innovate across apparel and lifestyle items to solidify Brunch as a gifting destination. This holiday season, we will also be launching gift bundles centered around unique experiences. ”
