Formed in Manchester in 1991, Oasis went on to become one of the best-selling bands of their era and a phenomenon among their Britpop peers such as Blur, Pulp and Suede. All seven of their studio albums reached number one on the charts, and their success translated into ticket sales. The most famous was in 1996 when 125,000 fans packed into each of the two Knebworth shows.
They have headlined Glastonbury twice, once in 1995 and again in 2004, and have won six Brit Awards and two Ivor Novello Awards.
Just days after announcing their return, the band celebrated their 30th anniversary and shot to the top of the UK album charts with their debut album, Definitely Maybe.
Meanwhile, next year marks the 30th anniversary of the British artist’s second album, “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”, one of the best-selling LPs of all time.
