Happy Friday! Anyone else starting to get serious fall temperatures? Go all out with a comfy sweater and a cool denim outfit…Autumn fashion is truly the best. Lindsey is reaching for the curve-friendly cuffed jeans on sale this weekend at Bloomingdale’s for $50 off. They’re stretchy (comfortable enough to sit around all day), and the details on the pants give them a classic feel. Plus, it works with both sneakers and heels (the true test of jeans, me too).
Speaking of heels…the kitten heels she’s wearing above are 25% off at DSW for VIP members (free to sign up!) with code: DAZZLING. I was dazzled by the T-strap design (lol). The Broadway dancer vibe is so unique and elevated, yet so easy to wear.

The kids and I are heading back to Chicago for the weekend. We plan to head downtown for our city fix sometime and I surprised the older girls with tickets to a Sabrina Carpenter concert. G has been playing the song non-stop ever since he found out we were featuring it.
Here’s your annual reminder to buy your family’s matching pajamas before they’re sold out. I’m a big fan of these nonsense…until my kids start rejecting me…not yet, friends. still. My other picks are this striped sweater dress (on sale for under $45) and the perfect pair of boots (over 50% off!).
Sweater (xxs) |Jeans (6)
ONE: This sweater is finally available – in 34 colors. I sized down to a xxs for a more fitted look (they run big!)…I’m wearing ‘Windsor Moss’ here, but there are many other colors to choose from. Masu. The perfect sweater for fall – under $50! Also wearing: Jeans (6), boots
2: These Good American jeans are perfect. High rise, slight stretch, straight legs and a split hem that reveals the shoe. We are having a 25% off sale this weekend! they are perfect for me. Also worn: cardigan

Hey Friday! I hope you all have a good week. Hubs lost his job and got a new job in the last two weeks, so we’re all very grateful here. This was a godsend for Realz, as he’s been through startup madness, corporate takeovers, and other work crap over the past few years. Apparently marketing isn’t for the faint of heart these days. Dan. And tomorrow I get to go to the east coast to meet my best Canadian friend and her family…I’m so grateful. The week before was more stressful. Now you can focus on other global stresses, as any good liberal humanitarian should. 😅🫠 Hugs to all my friends. This is done.
Now it’s time to think about something completely different…sales. I need new wine glasses, so I’m thinking of going back to stemmed wine glasses (I know I’m living on the edge). BH & G’s products are not only gorgeous and modern, but also extremely affordable. Also, Zella Live-in leggings for $16??Okay. Classic and cute graphic T-shirts are also available for $18. Yes, please.
Trench (meter) | Pants (29)
One: This insanely adorable cropped trench that I love is now $31! It’s got it all: banded trench sleeves, removable hood, cute shape, and great construction. I love having this every day as it’s starting to get cooler here. It’s much easier to wear than my full-length trench, especially at this time of year. Perfect for getting in and out of the car on a rainy Portland day. And it’s very cute.
2: My favorite Anthropologie Maeve wide-leg pants (butt-hugging pants) are on sale this weekend. Score. They were one of my top 4 this fall. They are really nice, new and great. I usually can’t wear anything with a hint of pleats in the front, but I think this one is perfect. This is because the legs do not gradually become wider only at the bottom, but from the top. It’s so much fun to wear and it fits amazingly. True to size. The fabric feels like denim, firm (but with a bit of brushed softness) and some stretch. Very good.

It feels like this year has gone by so fast and I’ve had so little time to really stop and enjoy life. Work ended up taking up more time than I expected. I think that comes with taking on more responsibility. After a tough week, my husband decided to take us camping to get some fresh air.
Our oldest son is finishing up his first season playing on a club soccer team (!!). It was a lot of fun watching him play, thinking about which position he loves and where he can thrive. He has his first tournament in a week and it’s going to be a long day for all four of us. In a new sale, J.Crew is currently running a 40% off sitewide sale. I bought this sweater to keep in my car for a few days. I guess I’m warm enough that I don’t need a sweater…and then I get to soccer practice and realize it. I was wrong.
Barrel jeans (30), sweater (L) |Tank top (L)
ONE: I bought these jeans earlier this year and have been wearing them basically all summer. It’s currently on sale for 25% off. Same goes for my favorite crewneck sweater. I own gray and navy. The Friends & Family Sale is the perfect time to buy great Everlane products.
2: My beloved J.Crew vintage rib tank, which I also wore a lot when I was in Europe over the summer. Last week was so hot that I was grateful to have a built-in shelf bra because it meant I had to wear one less piece of clothing. Use code “SHOPNOW” at checkout.

We are officially in a new time zone. I mean, it’s dark in the morning when we wake up and we have to stay up late to watch football, but hey, we’re happy. We have a coffee shop in the woods that can only be accessed by a long forest walk or bike path. And that’s exactly where you can find us this afternoon, celebrating a week in our new home!
As for sales, oh my. I found Anthropologie’s fall special sale section when my cart was full of Free People’s additional 25% off sale items. And I was already trying to ignore Jenny Kane’s amazing 20% off sitewide sale. What’s happening this weekend?! My picks: This vest (my winter favorite, I have it in two colors) | This slouchy bag (maybe that mysterious dark blueberry??) | This cashmere sweater .
Mock neck top (L) | Sweater (L)
One: Fall-perfect waffle tops are on sale this weekend in select colors (unfortunately, not the season’s brown, but a nice gritty charcoal and classic black are included) – Me They say they’re selling it for *40% off*. It’s practically theft. I’m wearing a size L, which is naturally loose and boxy.
2: Both the famous cropped sweater and its original long tunic version are on sale, as well as some really nice classic colors. I’ll keep my normal size for the cropped version for a bit more length, but the tunic is very loose so I’ll size down.

I feel very relieved now. My parents live just outside of Sarasota, and Hurricane Milton passed right over their house. I stayed up all night worrying about them and am so thankful the damage wasn’t worse and the storm weakened to a Category 3 before making landfall. They expected worse damage and flooding. The power is still out, but the house is safe and so are we.
As for sales, my closet essentials are on sale this weekend. Free People’s Easy St Tunic Sweater (25% off), my favorite flyaway tunic from Anthro (plus 40% off), and Nordstrom’s One Shoulder Rib Sweater for under $20!
Tunic (M) | Sweater (M)
One: Anthropologie Sleeveless Flyaway Linen Tunic Vest – This tunic vest is my favorite statement piece in my closet. I’m so glad I bought it, and I wouldn’t have paid full price for it, but it’s currently marked down from $119 to $80, plus an extra 40% off, and most sizes are still in stock. It runs large, so I recommend ordering one size smaller.
2: Treasure and Bonds One Shoulder Rib Sweater – Hmm. This price is unbelievably low! Over 60% off for less than $20! I have this in 4 colors and it’s been a staple in my closet for years.

Hey everyone, when I left my apartment this morning…it was cold. It’s cold, it’s cold. Oh, I’m so happy. Not ready to wear your favorite hoodie or jacket? Right now, I’m wearing my favorite clothes from my friend’s brand, and I feel most comfortable there. I’m tired of summer clothes *the slightly angry type*. I know there are people who can work with me on this. Don’t get me started on the leaves changing color. And the fall decorations in the neighborhood!! Awesome.
The fall tangent has come out, so I’m going to make some sales. Anthro has an extra 40% off sale styles, Free People has an extra 25% off, and Aerie/American Eagle has 25-70% off almost everything (I’ve been wearing a lot of their stuff lately). ).
Quarter zip | jacket
ONE: Please don’t do that. Again, don’t look at Airy and American Eagle. Here are some of my favorite items that won’t hurt your wallet. Right now I’m eyeing this most beautiful hunter green quarter snap sweatshirt (but it comes in tons of colors). This ribbed collared cardigan is also calling my name.
2: This Levi’s jacket is very similar to the jacket I’ve been wearing every day for years. It always adds something special to my simple outfits. No…I never get tired of shearling moto jackets. they will be with me forever. I usually wear it open with a sweater or hoodie underneath (looks much better in my opinion). I’ve worn them to dress up leggings and yoga pants, and worn them with jeans for a night out. If you’re wondering which one I own, it’s these Avec Les Filles (not for sale yet, but I’ll keep checking back).
