Throughout tonight: Showers and storms are possible east and southeast of town, continuing into the evening. You might see a few stars, but it won’t be long before the clouds try to clear and fog becomes more prevalent as dawn approaches. Temperatures will be in the mid to low 60s Fahrenheit and humidity will remain high, but not oppressive.

Tomorrow (Sunday): Sunshine levels are a little uncertain, but light is better considering there’s only about a 10 percent chance of showers and storms. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s to low 90s, but humidity will slowly and briefly drop in the afternoon, making it feel closer to the mid-90s with dew points in the low 60s.
A few showers and storms will be possible late at night through sunrise Monday. High dew points and increased humidity will likely keep temperatures from dropping above the low to mid 70s Fahrenheit.
Thunderstorms and humidity return this week
Monday will be the first day that moisture and stormy weather returns to the region, possibly continuing through Thursday. Typical summer air with very humid dew points in the low to mid 70s is unsettled. Daily thunderstorm chances are generally unremarkable, but a few severe storms are possible during the week, as shown in brown below.
The most likely (but not guaranteed) times for severe storms may be Tuesday and Wednesday. While the timing and details are uncertain, we are cautiously optimistic that we may see some welcome rain this week. There is reason to hope that mostly less severe storms will help cool us down and bring us water.
