What do I use my Gold Points for? Jpegs?
@Tayrailbridge You can use them in games on the Eshop. 1 Gold Point is 1 cent, which means if you spend 1000 Gold Points on the Eshop you’ll save $10.
Oops, I updated it a month too early.
…I don’t have any friends or family to help me, and I don’t have any money.
@IceEarthGuard I remember when Club Nintendo was around, you accumulated points and got awesome stuff you couldn’t get anywhere else, then Nintendo killed it all with discounts on games 🙃
@Savage_Joe In Europe and Japan, at least in the US, they have shoelaces.
Oh wow. Only $10 after paying nearly $40 for the family plan? Ugh, forget it, change it back, Nintendo.
Corporate greed is something else.
@Tayrailbridge You’re thinking of Twitter crypto scams and blue cheques…
So my membership was renewed this morning, I will call about this tomorrow, most standard retailers will accept it, hopefully that will be the case here too!
In that case, you’ll probably want to renew it early – it expires in October, but getting an extra year of warranty for just $10 off is a pretty good deal.
@IceEarthGuard “These Gold Points can be redeemed for games and other Nintendo Switch content on the eShop.” Please read the article carefully, my friend. Thanks for the explanation.
@VHSGREMLIN Gold Points are normally returned at 5% of the amount spent, so getting $10 in Gold Points for a £35 payment is almost a 30% refund.
@Savage_Joe I still have these, Platinum Points, to spend on exclusive items in the MyNintendo store. At least in Australia.
