After Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) staged a protest against former CJP Qazi Faez Isa in London, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday labeled the former chief a “targeted attacker”. He vowed to take strict action against them, including cancellation of Pakistan’s CNIC and passport. Vehicles of Justice and the High Commissioner.
Isa, a former CJP, faced a large crowd of PTI protesters in the British capital on Tuesday night after resigning from his position as the country’s top judge, while holding the Middle School to mark his elevation to the curry. Reacting to the “attack”, the home minister ordered the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) to immediately identify the “attackers” from footage of the incident and initiate legal action against them.
“Further action will be taken after registering a First Information Report (FIR) in Pakistan. The government will cancel the Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and passport of the attackers,” Naqvi announced.
He added that the authorities will not remain silent about this unfortunate incident as no one will be allowed to carry out such an attack and the Pakistan High Commissioner’s vehicle was also “attacked”.
Elaborating on the future course of action, Mr. Naqvi said the government would begin procedures to revoke the citizenship of the attackers and related cases would be referred to the Cabinet.
The Home Minister expressed anger at the lack of adequate security arrangements and questioned why security was not implemented despite threats against former CJP Isa.
PTI supporters led by former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s former special assistant Syed Zulfi Bukhari and former MNA Maleeka Bokhari criticize the Middle Temple Honor Society for inviting the prime minister to the dinner. I held a demonstration for this purpose.
Upon Mr. Isa’s arrival, a heavy police presence was guarding the entrance to the venue as scores of placard-carrying protesters shouted slogans against the former CJP.
British barrister Mark Macdonald, also at the demonstration, criticized Middle Temple’s invitation to the former chief justice and said something like this should never happen again.
Middle Temple is one of four historic and prestigious legal institutions known as the Inns of Court in London. These institutions provide training to law students and qualify them to enter the legal profession.
The former Chief Justice was the first Pakistani judge to be elected to the bench and was invited to the Middle Temple, a prestigious legal institution in the United Kingdom (UK).
Note that the Middle Temple is where Isa learned the law. His father was also a graduate of the institute.
