Actor Nagarjuna’s N Convention was vandalised by HYDRAA officials yesterday for encroaching on lake land in Hyderabad’s Madhapur area.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today vowed to take aggressive steps to demolish illegal structures. Speaking at an event on Sunday, he openly criticised some social elites for occupying lakes to build farmhouses.

Revanth Reddy declared that all unauthorised structures, especially those encroaching into the pond, would be demolished regardless of pressure from influential individuals and organisations.
He also suggested that even government buildings would not be tolerated if they were found to be illegal.

“Hyderabad is a city of lakes. But wealthy people who hold considerable influence in society often build farmhouses close to water bodies and discharge wastewater into ponds, polluting important water sources like Gandipet,” Revanth Reddy said.
The Telangana Chief Minister also said there is no political connotation in demolishing illegal structures, adding that the demolition drive is being carried out in the interest of future generations.Revanth reiterated his commitment to keep Hyderabad ponds free from encroachments and preserve nature for future generations.

Interestingly, Revanth Reddy takes inspiration from Gita Saransham. “Bhagavd Gita inspires me in my fight against those involved in lake encroachment and illegal constructions. I am fighting for future generations and to achieve justice,” he said.
