Winter is on its way, which means the queens of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City are returning.
Bravo The trailer for RHOSLC season 5 has been released and it’s set to churn out a whirlwind of drama on September 18th at 9pm ET.
The new season’s cast includes Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay, Angie Katsanevas, Meredith Marks and Whitney Rose, while OG cast member Mary Cosby has been promoted to a full-time role after returning as a “friend” last season.
Barlow’s longtime friend Bronwyn Newport joined the ladies, carrying a snowflake. Newport loves fashion and Bravo says she has a “sense of humor as sharp as the diamonds she wears.”

Plus, Mary Cosby returns as a housewife, once again displaying her outspoken opinions and high-class tastes.
The cast of RHOSLC season 5 includes two new friends: Brittani Bateman and Maeli Workman.
Bateman, a Utah native and Mormon, has worked as a real estate developer, actress and famous singer and has had on-again, off-again relationships. He met the woman through a gay friend, but had conflicts with some of the women from the start.

Rose’s friend Workman is busy with her life as a model, her four young children and her husband. A California native, Meili was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and moved to Utah to be more involved in church activities, but ultimately decided the faith wasn’t for her.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is produced by Shed Media, a division of Warner Bros. Unscripted Television. Lisa Shannon, Dan Pearson, Lori Gordon and Tamara Braich serve as executive producers, with Andy Cohen also serving as executive producer.

Lisa Barlow: She begins the season with a strong bond, but that friendship is soon turned upside down. Meredith and Lisa promise to support each other, but her relationship with Whitney is permanently threatened when Whitney makes a series of hurtful remarks about Lisa’s status as the villain of the group. Lisa retaliates by asserting the veracity of Whitney’s business practices. Lisa is especially hurt when Angie questions how good a mother Lisa was while Jack was away on a mission.

Mary Cosby: She’s back full time, with some fiery words and a bottle of 2003 Dom Pérignon. Mary reintegrates into the group, reconciles with Whitney and Heather after some badmouthing, and forms an unexpected friendship with Angie. Mary has a new ally and confidant, but her longtime friendship with Meredith is strained as they struggle to see eye to eye.

Whitney Rose: She’s at odds with many of the women. When damaging rumors about her jewelry line spread among the group, she confronts them to find out where they came from. As tensions rise, their husbands get caught up in the women’s fights and things heat up between Justin and John. Whitney introduces the women to her friend, Meili, but Meili is quickly thrown into the fire when Lisa shares rumors about her shopping habits.

Meredith Marks: She is excited to celebrate and reaffirm her Jewish faith by having her Bat Mitzvah, which ultimately brings her and Seth closer together. Her relationship with Whitney continues to get more turbulent as their business plans to make bath products overlap. When Meredith repeats what she has heard about Whitney’s business, the game of telephone lands her in a difficult position.

Heather Gay: She’s the girl who ends up in a surprising new relationship with Lisa. She and Whitney continue to move forward and strengthen their bond. Tensions with Mary come to a head when the two joke about body positivity. Heather introduces her friend Brittany to the group, but when Brittany makes multiple gaffes, Heather can’t keep up with her.

Angie Katsanevas: Returning with her props and larger-than-life sunglasses, Katsanevas and her husband, Sean, are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, putting the rumors and harassment of the past year behind them. While she and Mary are good friends, her friendship with Lisa is on the rocks, with the two at odds over how good a friend they were to each other.

Bronwyn Newport: Bronwyn is a new housewife with a passion for couture, art and the high-end lifestyle. Raised Mormon, Bronwyn was excommunicated from the church when she became pregnant while attending BYU. While raising her daughter Gwen as a single mother, she worked in finance and married Todd, who is 26 years older than her. She and Lisa have been friends for many years, but she soon realizes that her old friend may not be as supportive as she would like.
