Riva is bigger and, dare I say it, bolder than ever.
The famous Italian shipyard, founded by Pietro Riva in 1842 on the shores of Lake Iseo, has unveiled the largest model in its 180-year history. The new Riva 70 Metri flagship will be an impressive 230 feet long. That means it’s definitely 53 feet longer than the current flagship. (The Riva 54 Metri measures 177 feet.)
70 Metri will also be big in terms of innovation. Designed for Riva’s loyal customers, this newcomer is equipped with the latest and greatest green technology to ensure our oceans are cleaner than its traditional competitors.
“The Riva 70 Metri promises to set the standard for thrilling experiences in the years to come,” Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi said in a statement. “She is a superyacht of timeless beauty, taking Riva’s spectacular world of style features and details to a new level, combined with cutting-edge navigation and environmental sustainability technology.”
Riva 54 Metri.
Riva
Like all recent Rivas, the 70 Metri is the result of a collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the product strategy committee led by Piero Ferrari, and Ferretti’s engineering department. This superyacht boasts a sturdy steel hull, lightweight aluminum superstructure, and Riva’s signature sleek lines. It will also feature a new hybrid propulsion system, heat recovery technology, and a PTO/PTI system that generates power under sail and improves fuel efficiency.
Officina Italiana’s CEO Sergio Beretta and chief designer Mauro Micheli said: “The sophisticated and very selective owners had very clear ideas: classic lines and the sea. Our aim is to create a timeless boat with a green spirit for cruising in style that respects the utmost respect for the world.”
Riva declined to provide details about the interior layout or renderings of the living quarters. (Actually, only one rather vague teaser image of the ship was shared.) The shipyard said that great emphasis was placed on acoustic comfort on board, but the noise and vibration Innovative solutions to reduce levels ensure a quiet and smooth living environment. At sea.
The new 70 Metri will be built at the Riva superyacht division in Ancona, Italy. This state-of-the-art shipyard is located on approximately 20 acres and is home to all fleet members ranging in height from 164 feet to 295 feet. The first 54 Metri will be launched in 2025, with hulls 2 and 3 scheduled for 2026 and 2027, respectively. A delivery date for the 70 Metri has not yet been determined.
“A manifesto of style, design and innovation, this spectacular flagship will usher in the new Riva masterpieces with its sublime elegance,” added Galassi.
Certainly bigger and bolder.
