When a state Chief Minister does his job efficiently, all the state legislators follow suit and contribute effectively to the Chief Minister’s efforts. That is what is happening now in Andhra Pradesh. As soon as the new Chandrababu Naidu government came into power, people’s perception towards governance and elected representatives has completely changed from the past five years.
The reason for this dramatic change is the effectiveness of MLAs in the NDA government in AP. One MLA who has been putting in a remarkable effort ever since winning the recent state assembly elections is Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, who represents the Undi constituency in West Godavari.
It is a known fact that RRR, a firebrand politician who gained immense popularity for the last five years by openly declaring war against Jagan Mohan Reddy and his government, initiated several developmental activities in the state as soon as the election results were out, even before the new government took charge. Moreover, he started various drainage works in his constituency without even waiting for funds to be released by the government.
The commendable and proactive work of RRR has already become a talking point across the state. Now, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu himself has acknowledged the great efforts of RRR. The Undi MP received praise from Chief Minister Chandrababu during his visit to the flood affected areas in Kolleru district.
Naidu held a review meeting with farmers of West Godavari district to assess the damage caused by the recent floods. During the meeting, he publicly praised the RRR for its excellent efforts in reaching out to the people over the last three months and raising funds to undertake the repair of various drains.
Though RRR did not get a ministerial seat as many expected, he did a great job in his constituency and set an example for others to follow.
