Vijayasai Reddy called for a press conference in Visakhapatnam to clarify the allegations levelled against him and slammed a section of the media.
While the main focus of the press conference was to condemn the media for airing the news, Sai Reddy also attacked some leaders within his own party.

Finally, Vijayasai Reddy announced that he will soon be starting a news channel.
“Last time, when I tried to start a news channel, Jagan stopped me. He won’t stop me this time,” Sai Reddy declared.

He also added that his channel will be neutral, regardless of political stance. Sakshi sounded like she had failed.
Vijayasai Reddy launched a blistering attack on these channels, alleging that they were supporters of the TDP and the community. He used foul language especially against Maha TV Vamsi. This is the most scathing press conference by a YSRCP leader after its recent humiliating defeat.

Naturally, this should be widely reported in Sakshi, but it isn’t.
The news was published in small print in the corner of page 10.
The article also makes no mention of Vijaysai Reddy’s plans to start a news channel.
At a press conference, Sai Reddy announced that his channel would be neutral, regardless of one’s political affiliation, which sounded like he was saying that Sakshi had failed.
Media neutrality is an illusion in today’s world. People will see Sai Reddy’s channel as one of the YSR Congress channels. Even if he really launches a channel and it turns out to be memorable, it will only tarnish Sakshi’s popularity.
If that happens, the rumoured rift between Jagan and Sai Reddy will only widen further. Perhaps this move to curtail Sai Reddy’s press conference is a sign of things to come.
