Samantha Irvin, one of the most talented people to have held the WWE job in recent memory, announced her departure on Monday.
“WWE Universe, my time as the Monday Night Raw ring announcer is over. I love you all so much. This is not the end of my art. I have a lifetime of things to share. Thank you to all the WWE fans who have embraced me,” Irvin wrote.
“To the women’s locker room: You are the greatest group of people on this planet, and I am so proud to be your colleague and friend.”
A source familiar with WWE operations told the Post that the breakup was “completely amicable.”
Irvin drew praise from WWE fans for his vocal and emotional input into ring entrances and title change announcements, as well as his spontaneous reactions to surprise storylines such as The Rock’s return.
Irvin is passionate about his music. She once appeared on “America’s Got Talent” and just recently performed a beautiful national anthem performance for the Steelers Raiders in Las Vegas.
It is unclear whether Irvin will remain in professional wrestling. Her fiancé, wrestler Ricochet, recently left WWE and moved to AEW.
In his farewell letter, Irvin mentioned that Triple H, Paul Heyman, Michael P.S. Hayes, Michael Cole, Brian Armstrong (The Road Dogg), Gabe Sapolsky, George Carroll Jr., Mark… He expressed his gratitude to Henry.
“To all the WWE Superstars past and present: I have been grateful since 1989 and will continue to be grateful for the rest of my days for entertaining us and raising the bar again and again. for putting their bodies at risk and finding new ways to shock us and leave us wanting more,” Irvin wrote.
“There is no entertainment like this, and not just any entertainer can become a WWE Superstar. The respect I have for you cannot be expressed in words.
