When it’s too cold for sandals and too hot for boots, there aren’t many shoe styles to choose from for those days in between. Yes, of course we also have ballet shoes and sneakers. But one often overlooked option is loafers. Comfortable, cool and looks even more beautiful when paired with socks.
And apparently no one knows this better than Scarlett Johansson. He stepped out in a classic fall shoe combo over the weekend in New York City. Supporting her husband Colin Jost at the Saturday Night Live afterparty in midtown Manhattan, she wore an orange and pink floral slip dress layered under an oversized beige blazer. She accessorized with a cream Celine crossbody bag, gold jewelry, and aviator glasses, and finished her outfit with oxblood loafers and sheer socks.

Glamor-wise, Johansson accentuated her glowing skin with a bold fuchsia lip and wore her blonde hair in a sleek bun accented with a white ribbon.
Johansson and Jost first met when the Lucy star hosted SNL in 2006, but they didn’t start dating until 11 years later. After keeping their relationship secret for several months, the couple made their public debut at a gala at the American Museum of Natural History in November 2017. Three years later, they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In the summer, they welcomed their first child, a son named Cosmo.

Back in 2023, Johansson revealed why her marriage to Jost is working so well during a conversation with Gwyneth Paltrow on her podcast Goop.
“I never realized, ‘Oh, that’s so important to me, I need to be with someone who cares.’ That’s the basic quality that should be there.” she said. “Colin and I worked out because we were finally able to take a step back and respect ourselves and find out what those (basic wants and needs) were.”
