Home Minister Amit Shah said Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge would die only after removing Narendra Modi from power, saying he unnecessarily dragged the prime minister into personal health issues.
Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday condemned Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge’s “disgusting and shameful” speech about Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a public meeting in Jammu and Kashmir.
Mr. Shah said the speech was a “scorching display of malice” and that Mr. Kharji “will only die if he removes Mr. Modi from power,” adding that the prime minister was unnecessarily exposed to his personal He said he was drawn into health issues. However, he hoped to live a “long and healthy life” so that he could live to see “the creation of Vikshit Bharat by 2047”.

“Yesterday, Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge Ji outdid himself, his leadership and his party in a totally disgusting and shameful manner in his speech. In a display of gross malice, he ousted Prime Minister Modi from power. “Unnecessarily dragged Prime Minister Modi into his own personal health issues by saying he would die only after being removed from his seat,” he wrote in a post on X.
He further added, “This shows how much hatred and fear the people of Congress have towards PM Modi and that they are always thinking about him.” Mr. Modi ji and I pray for Mr. Kharge Ji’s health and we all pray for his long and healthy life. May he continue to live for many years to come and live to see Vikshit Bharat come into being by 2047. ”
On Sunday (September 29), Kharji fell ill during an election rally in Jasrota, Jammu. He suffered a “fainting attack” but resumed his speech after a brief pause, saying he would not die before Mr Modi is removed from power.
“I am 83 years old. I am not planning to die so soon. I will continue living till PM Modi is removed,” the Congress leader said. “I wanted to talk, but I felt dizzy so I sat down. Please forgive me.”
