Sean “Diddy” Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, but was denied bail after his accusers came forward publicly against him.
The rapper appeared in a New York court on Tuesday accused of running a decades-long “criminal ring” that forced women into sex acts.
Although his lawyers argued that Combs should remain under house arrest, a judge ordered him held in Brooklyn’s notorious Metropolitan Detention Center until his trial.
Combs is scheduled to appear in court again today as his lawyer, Mark Anifilo, appeals the sentence.
Meanwhile, his accusers are speaking out since his arrest. Natania Ruben claims that Combs shot her in the face in the infamous nightclub shooting in 1999. Upon learning of his arrest on Monday, she told The Daily Beast, “It was one of the best days of my life.”
Combs was acquitted, but Ruben claims he escaped justice.
Federal prosecutors allege in an indictment unsealed Tuesday morning that Combs blackmailed and abused women in order to “satisfy his sexual gratification” by coercing them into videotaped sex acts.
Agnifilio said Combs was “an innocent man with nothing to hide.”

Combs is being held in the same prison where Ghislaine Maxwell and R. Kelly were once incarcerated.
More details about conditions inside the Metropolitan Detention Center are being released as Combs remains in pretrial detention.
Many have spoken out about “barbaric” conditions inside the prison, with one inmate claiming that stabbings happen “at least two or three times a week” inside the prison.
“One guy was stabbed in the eye with a makeshift knife,” an inmate who gave his name only as Eli told NY1.
“And these knives, I’ve never been in a prison. This is my first time in a prison, but these knives are six inches, nine inches long, hand made out of steel wall material. They’re very violent. There are stabbings. There are stabbings at least twice a week.”
