“Selling Sunset” alum Christine Quinn is in a better place following her split from estranged husband Christian Richard.
“Ladies, remember: while you are recovering, he is thinning his hair,” Quinn, 35, wrote on Instagram on Thursday, August 22, sharing a video of herself lying on a yacht in a pink bikini.
She also added green heart and apple emojis to the post, paying homage to Charli XCX’s album Brat and the accompanying “Brat Summer” viral trend.
Quinn didn’t clarify whether she was specifically talking about Richard’s receding hairline, but she did amend the caption in the comments section.
Correction: “I’m still bald.” 👨🦲” she added.
Elsewhere in the comments section, a fan used a quote from TikTok sensation Jules Lebron to suggest that Richard’s “hairline isn’t very classy,” to which Quinn replied with a series of crying-laughing emojis.
Another social media user pointed out that Quinn’s comments about Richard’s hairline were an “understatement” given his recent arrest on assault charges.
“I’m just being nice,” Quinn replied. “He deserves everything that’s going to happen. 💣.”
Quinn and Richard, 45, separated in March after five years of marriage after the businessman was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. At the time, Us Weekly confirmed that Richard had been detained by police for allegedly throwing a bag full of glass at Quinn. The real estate agent claimed the glass didn’t hit her, but rather the couple’s 2-year-old son, Christian.
Richard was released from police custody the same day on $30,000 bail. Quinn also filed for a temporary restraining order against Richard, which he was arrested the following day for violating. Richard was eventually released on bail again.
Richard officially filed for divorce from Quinn in April, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. In his filing, the reality TV star said he was seeking sole legal and physical custody of their son Christian because his “conduct and behavior have endangered the health and well-being of (their) son.”
Richard has not publicly spoken about Quinn’s allegations. He was formally charged in May with three misdemeanor counts of child abuse/endangerment, assault and violating a protective order.
“(Christian) has been formally charged with child abuse of a two-year-old child, assault of Christine Quinn, and violating a restraining order,” Quinn’s lawyers said in a statement that month. “This development marks an important step in protecting the legal and personal interests of both victims, and we trust that this matter will continue to be treated with the seriousness it deserves.”
After Richard failed to plead guilty at a hearing in June, a judge issued a criminal restraining order.
Quinn has not commented further about her legal battle, but her Selling Sunset co-star Nicole Young told Us magazine in an exclusive interview in June that “Quinn is doing well despite all the issues she’s going through.”
“I’m really proud of her,” said Young, 37. “She has that attitude about the game and she never loses. She’s in a really good mental place and she’s doing well, so it’s fun to be around her.”
