Care home provider Signature Senior Lifestyle has appointed Vishul Seewoolall as chief operating officer.
The company said that with 20 years of experience in the care industry, Seeulal’s leadership and commitment to improving care services will further strengthen Signature’s senior management team.
He previously served as group director of operations and sales for Signature Senior Lifestyle, responsible for overseeing the regulatory and financial performance of all 10 homes in Signature’s portfolio.
Seewular joined Signature Senior Lifestyle in 2018 as Regional Operations Director, overseeing Signature’s six luxury communities. Under his direction, the region saw a 65% year-over-year increase in EBITDA, reduced agent utilization by 95% and achieved significant improvements in both employee engagement and occupancy rates.
Then, as Director of Operational Transformation, Seewoolour played a key role in integrating Sunrise Homes and Gracewell Homes into Signature Senior Lifestyle in 2021, putting in place key systems and processes to ensure a smooth transition. His expertise in managing large-scale organizational change played a pivotal role in ensuring financial and regulatory success through various operational transformations.
Seewural recently led the roll-out of Signature’s Safety Monitoring Programme, which offers residents and their families in Signature’s dementia communities the option to install independent CCTV cameras in their living spaces to enhance care and safety. The initiative has improved operational performance and enhanced the dignity and safety of residents. The programme has been well received by residents, relatives, Signature colleagues and wider sector advocates, the Care Campaign for the Vulnerable (CCFTV).
Prior to joining Signature Senior Lifestyle, Ms Seewular held leadership roles within care organisations including Bupa, Look Ahead and MTVH and is also multi-certified in community mental health, psychology, enrolment management and quality assurance.
“I am honored to assume the role of Chief Operating Officer for Signature Senior Lifestyle. My journey with Signature has already been extremely rewarding, and leading the implementation of a groundbreaking safety monitoring technology program that enhances the safety and care of our residents has been an incredibly meaningful accomplishment,” said Seewural.
“In my new role, I look forward to further driving the delivery of excellent, high-quality care across our facilities. Together with my dedicated team of colleagues, we will continue to provide an excellent standard of living for every resident.”
“Vishul’s strategic oversight and dedication to quality have played a pivotal role in elevating the quality care we provide to our residents,” said Kay Cox, CEO of Signature Senior Lifestyle.
“His promotion to chief operating officer is a testament to his unwavering commitment to driving improvement across the organization, and I look forward to seeing how this new role will enable him to drive continued improvement and positive change across Signature Senior Lifestyle.”
