Amanda Batura is Bravo’s “It” girl.
The 33-year-old “Summer House” star may not have launched a clothing line with Amazon or modeled for Victoria’s Secret like her co-stars Paige DeSorbo and Ciara Miller, but she’s consistently cited by fans as the show’s standout style star.
So when the former graphic designer got into a heated argument with her husband, Kyle Cook, over her desire to leave her position at Loverboy, the alcoholic beverage brand, and go independent by starting her own swimwear line, Bravo viewers were already ready to empathize — and spend money.
So it’s no surprise to see Batura, whose Adam Sander-inspired tomboy-chic clothes and Hailey Bieber-esque no-makeup makeup philosophy sets her apart from the ultra-girly DeSorbo and Miller, present Amanda Batura Swim at South Moon Under early next year.
Today, it was revealed that she’s the new creative director of Otra, the eyewear brand worn by the likes of Hailey Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, and Alex Cooper. The reality TV star tells Page Six Style that she’ll be in charge of photo shoots, the creative process, and, perhaps most importantly, choosing fall trends. First thing’s first? Say goodbye to tiny sunglasses.
See all of Batura’s fall fashion and beauty picks below: While Cook likes to say that “summer should be fun,” his wife says that “sunglasses should be chic.”
“I’m tired of tiny bags that won’t even fit my phone. I need a big bag that I can throw everything in. Suede is a bonus.”
“Hats can complement any outfit, whether you’re running an errand or going for coffee. Hats help project a cool-girl, carefree, no-care-about style.”
“Right now, these are my favorite Otra sunglasses. Oversized sunglasses are back. Gone are the tiny bags, gone are the tiny frames. Listen, oversized sunglasses are back for fall, winter, whatever.”
“Self-tanning is so important. Why? Because it helps fade your summer tan. This is my absolute favorite. It comes out clear, so it doesn’t stain your sheets after you put it on. Plus, it smells amazing. I’ve never put this on and not gotten a compliment on my tan right away.”
“When your tan starts to fade from summer, you’ll want to get that bronze back, but you’ll need to make sure to wear sunscreen.”
“Finally, a cute charm necklace. This one is my favorite and it’s from Susan Alexandra. They have all kinds of charms but you can get them anywhere. I think they’re so fun, they’re great conversation starters and you can really personalize them. They go with everything, whether you’re dressed up or casual.”
