Syracuse, N.Y. (NCC News) –– The Student Success and Career Services Office, located in the Engineering and Computer Science Building at Syracuse University, is ready to help students pursue employment in the semiconductor industry.
Sarah Mack, Director of Student Success and Career Services, prepares students to achieve their future career goals.
According to syracuse.com, Micron has received billions of dollars in federal subsidies to build a semiconductor factory in Cray, which will create 50,000 jobs.
“Construction will be the first industry to boom when Micron begins construction on the first of four factories, each measuring 1.2 million square feet,” syracuse.com reported.
“We are committed to providing our current students with the career development they need to be competitive in the job market,” Mack said.
“We tailor our approach to each student and their specific needs,” Mack added. She emphasized that Micron’s coming to Central New York won’t change its goal of helping students.
The career office offers many opportunities, including one-on-one coaching, group meetings and networking workshops, Mack said.
Mack is excited about the opportunity students will have to work in the semiconductor industry in the future.
