Last week, the Tesla Cybertruck was spotted in Florida with a driver testing full self-driving (FSD) ahead of the company unveiling the software for the unique electric pickup truck.
Ahead of the planned launch of FSD Supervised for the Cybertruck later this month, Chuck Cook spotted a Tesla advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) operator testing the software in a Cybertruck in Florida on Thursday. The sighting comes as Tesla has been rolling out FSD v12.5 in recent weeks, and this version will be first installed in the Cybertruck.

Cook is known in the Tesla community for his FSD videos and the now-familiar unguarded left turn tests, and is regularly spotted by the company’s ADAS operators testing certain maneuvers.
Speaking virtually at the X Takeover event in California last Sunday, Musk said the Cybertruck will have FSD installed in the next “approximately two to four weeks,” depending on how testing goes. Tesla is gradually rolling out FSD Supervision version 12.5 to its HW4-equipped Model Y vehicles before rolling out the version to a broader group of vehicles.
Tesla has already started rolling out FSD v12.5.1 and v12.5.1.1 over the past two weeks, but the company has not yet extended the software to its HW3 vehicles, although Musk said it will happen this week.
Late last year, Musk noted that the Cybertruck was “the lowest priority for FSD” simply because there are significantly fewer vehicles on the road compared to the rest of the company’s lineup.
Tesla has been ramping up production of the Cybertruck at its Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, and just began offering test drives of the electric vehicle a few weeks ago.
