Chevrolet has announced that pricing for the 2025 Silverado 1500 will start at $38,995, including delivery, making the model the least expensive full-size truck in the U.S., thousands of dollars cheaper than the competition. Changes for the 2025 model are limited, but customers can expect to see new paint colors and additional features.
The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado is now arriving at dealerships, and the Bowtie brand has announced that pricing will start at $38,995, including a $1,995 delivery charge, a slight increase from last year’s pickup, which started at $38,795.
Compared to its competitors, the 2025 Ford F-150 has a pretty strong advantage, with prices starting at $40,605, while a Ram 1500 will cost you at least $42,270. Aside from the Big Three, the 2025 Toyota Tundra starts at $42,035.

So what’s new for America’s cheapest full-size truck? Not much has changed. The color palette has been revised to include new shades of Cypress Gray and Riptide Blue, and there’s also a new set of 20-inch wheels with a high-gloss black finish.
In addition to styling tweaks, several trim levels have added standard equipment, notably cruise control on the Work Truck (WT) and a trailer brake controller on LT and above, while the off-road-focused ZR2 gets a premium audio system and front and rear park assist.
Under the hood you’ll find a familiar selection of engines, including a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine with 310 horsepower (231 kW / 314 PS) and 430 pound-feet (582 Nm) of torque. There’s also a choice of 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter V8 engines with 355 horsepower (265 kW / 360 PS) and 420 horsepower (313 kW / 425 PS). For those who don’t like gasoline, there’s also a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline six-cylinder engine with 305 horsepower (227 kW / 309 PS) and 495 pound-feet (670 Nm) of torque.
Returning to the topic of pricing, Chevrolet says the Silverado Custom Trail Boss is “the most affordable factory-lifted full-size light truck in the industry,” with a starting price of $53,795 and featuring a two-inch lift and Z71 suspension.
