The Daily Show has finalized its rotation of guests and hosts for the Democratic National Convention.
The Comedy Central late-night show will be broadcasting from Chicago during the convention, taking place at the Athenaeum Center for Thought and Culture in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood, a few miles north of the gala at the United Center. A photo of the set, with the Chicago skyline as a backdrop, can be seen below.

As The Hollywood Reporter revealed in June, Jon Stewart will host a live segment on the final day of the convention on Thursday. (The Daily Show was scheduled to attend the Republican convention in Milwaukee in July but canceled its on-site program following the assassination attempt on candidate Donald Trump.) The rest of the week is set, with the show’s correspondents hosting Monday through Wednesday and a lineup of guests already in place.
Monday’s show will be hosted by Michael Costa and will feature Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer as guest. Tuesday’s show will be hosted by Desi Riddick and will interview Illinois Representative Lauren Underwood. Wednesday’s show will be hosted by Jordan Klepper and will feature Maryland Governor Wes Moore as guest. Stewart will wrap up the week with a live broadcast on Thursday at 11:30 pm ET, a half hour later than the show’s usual time. (The Monday through Wednesday shows are taped a few hours before their usual 11 pm airtime.)
The Daily Show has visited major party political conventions since 2000, but 2020 was an exception as the show was produced remotely (and the convention itself was significantly scaled back) amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
