One European retailer has listed the AMD Ryzen 9000 CPUs, 9900X, 9700X and 9600X with tentative prices ahead of launch.
PC21.fr currently has three different AMD Ryzen 9000 chips in stock ahead of their official launch.
As the official launch date of AMD Ryzen 9000 “Zen 5” processors draws closer, we are finding that some of these chips are already being sold almost daily at various retailers. This has been the case with the past generations, but it gives us some important information regarding the official pricing of the upcoming processors in different regions. Of course, take these prices with a pinch of salt as they may not be the exact MSRP decided by the company.
French retail website PC21.fr recently listed three SKUs based on the Zen 5 architecture. These are the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, Ryzen 7 9700X, and Ryzen 9 9900X. The 9600X is listed for €350.60, the 9700X for €454.13, and the 9900X for €567.42. All of the listed chips are currently in stock with only a few of each left in stock.

Converting the prices into US Dollars, the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X CPU is priced at $381.72, the Ryzen 7 9700X at $494.43, and the Ryzen 9 9900X at $617.78. These prices are significantly higher than the prices seen in previous leaks. However, these prices also include taxes of around 20% or more. So, taking into account the base 20% VAT, the actual price in US Dollars should be close to $300 for the 9600X, around $400 for the 9700X, and around $490-500 for the 9900X.
A recent price of $295.43 for the 9600X at DealTarget puts the processor at roughly the same price, while a recent leak has the Ryzen 9600X priced at $229. It’s unlikely that AMD will offer a $70 price cut at launch when they’ve launched the Ryzen 7600X at $299. Both retailers are selling the 9600X for nearly $300, so prices will likely stay in the $279-299 range.

As for the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X, this is probably the first time we’ve seen this processor in stores before launch. The processor is already in the hands of a few users (presumably for review), but nothing has been announced so far about the price. We expect the 9700X to follow the same pricing trend as its predecessor, the Ryzen 7 7700X, and will likely launch for $399.

Finally, the AMD Ryzen 9 9900X has hit retail stores for the second time. The CPU is already in stock on Amazon.nl, priced at €508.49, significantly cheaper than PC21.fr. The Amazon.nl listing also includes VAT, so we’re not sure if the Ryzen 9900X will be priced below $499.
The official launch date for the AMD Ryzen 9000 lineup is July 31, 2024, and we can expect to see more listings of the same before the embargo until then.
