T-Boz is going to be seeing a lot of Scrubs…she’s in the hospital after what she thought was food poisoning turned into something much worse, forcing TLC to cancel the weekend show.
The group said T-Boz, aka Tionne Watkins, has been hospitalized with an abdominal blockage. The medical crisis has caused TLC to cancel their Saturday night show in Foxwoods, Connecticut, as well as their Friday night show at the New York State Fair in Syracuse.
Disappointed for all TLC fans tonight as their free @NYSfair concert was abruptly cancelled.
At 7:30 p.m., this message was broadcast: T-Boz has food poisoning. (TLC drew 30,000 spectators to the 2022 fair.) Report by @byfernandoalba, photo by @SchildScott: https://t.co/DXLsB67cq0 pic.twitter.com/zljWcGIgLm

After the show was cancelled on Friday night – just 30 minutes before it was scheduled to begin – doctors said she had food poisoning, but 24 hours later a different diagnosis was made.
The group released a statement saying, “Doctors have diagnosed her with an abdominal blockage, not food poisoning. Tionne deeply regrets having to cancel the performance and offers her sincere apologies to her fans and the event organizers.”
She remained hospitalized as of Saturday night. Doctors were monitoring her condition and performing a CT scan to determine the severity of the blockage. She is expected to be released sometime on Sunday.
TLC’s final concert prior to this weekend was on Thursday night in Toledo, though we’re not saying Ohio cuisine is what’s causing her illness.
While TLC says they are working to reschedule cancelled shows, their current tour has been anything but smooth sailing – they were forced to cancel two Canadian shows in May due to a flu outbreak among tour members.
