Toyota drivers have been warned about a faulty part inside their engines that could pose a danger.
The automaker is being forced to replace a key engine part in all defective Tacoma truck models at no extra cost.

Customers who bought the 2024 model year have been complaining about the gearbox, which is a critical and potentially dangerous part of the car if it fails.
However, only cars with eight-speed transmissions seem to struggle.
According to a report from CarScoops, Toyota appears to have admitted defeat and is offering to replace all faulty transmission units in 2024 Tacomas.
While not as severe as a full product recall, the technical issues have been passed on to the car dealers involved.
The good news for drivers is that Toyota does not consider this a safety issue.
Also, Toyota won’t be replacing the transmissions in every Tacoma produced this year, only those that are already faulty.
But to be eligible to have your car serviced, your Tacoma must pass certain inspections.
Once you take it to the dealer, the motor will be scanned with a diagnostic machine and must show one or more of six fault codes to be eligible for replacement.
If that happens, a new eight-speed transmission will be offered.
But the swap won’t be easy or quick, with Motortrend calling it a “major upgrade.”
Manual models in this series are not affected by the transmission issue.
This comes after Toyota plans to launch a GR version of the Corolla for UK drivers – the car has previously only been produced in Japan and sold in the US and parts of Asia.
It has already become a hit product in the United States, with sales up compared to last year.
Now, it appears that Toyota is preparing to bring the model to Europe.
According to Autocar, a Corolla GR prototype has been spotted testing at the world-famous Nürburgring in western Germany.
Not only can the circuit allow anyone to hop on the track and put down a lap, it also features an extensive network of test tracks that closely mimic European driving conditions.
