PARIS (AP) — Rapper Travis Scott French prosecutors said Friday that he was arrested following an altercation with a security guard at a Paris hotel.
The arrest came after police were called to the George V hotel early on Friday morning and “arrested a man nicknamed Travis Scott on suspicion of assaulting a security guard,” according to a statement from the Paris prosecutor’s office.
According to a statement, hotel security intervened in an altercation between the rapper and his bodyguard. Police are still investigating.

“We are in direct contact with local authorities in Paris to quickly resolve this matter and will provide an update in due course,” said a representative for the rapper, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation.
The rapper Paris, host city of the Olympicshe US Response to Serbia in the boys basketball semifinals on Thursday night.
Scott, whose real name is Jacques Webster, is one of the biggest stars in hip-hop. He has had over 100 songs reach the Billboard Hot 100, with four singles reaching the top of the charts: “Sicko Mode,” “Highest in the Room,” “The Scotts” and “Franchise.”
He has two children with his ex-girlfriend, media personality and businesswoman Kylie Jenner.
The Paris prosecutor’s office said late on Friday that it had handled some 471 arrests for incidents that occurred at Olympic venues during the Games or involved individuals present specifically for the games. Twenty-three of those cases involved minors, the statement added.
