Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he is selling a new collection of digital trading cards, with supporters who purchase 15 or more cards receiving a physical card featuring a portion of the suit Trump wore to a presidential debate with Joe Biden in June.
The announcement was made Tuesday in a video posted to Truth Social.
The cards, called the “America First Collection,” feature 50 new photos of Trump dancing and holding bitcoin.
The digital cards will cost $99 each, and supporters who purchase 15 or more (more than $1,485) will receive a physical card, he said.
“People are calling it the knockout suit,” Trump said in the video, adding, “I don’t know much about it, but that’s what they call it.”
He continued, “We’re going to cut up the knockout suit and give a piece to each of you. We’re going to randomly sign five of them. It’s a real collector’s item. It’s a great gift for your family, your kids, your grandkids.”
Trump said supporters who bought 75 digital cards for $7,425 would be able to attend a celebratory dinner with the former president at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida.
“You all know I’ve been called the Cipher President,” Trump said, “I don’t know if that’s true, but a lot of people say that. So don’t miss out. Go to collecttrumpcards.com and collect a piece of American history.”
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the former president has released and sold digital trading cards in the past.
In 2022, President Trump launched the first-ever digital trading card collection, which included photos of himself in a superhero costume. The cards sold out in less than a day, raising sales of $4.5m (£3.39m).
This isn’t the first time Trump has sold pieces of his suits: Last year, Trump began selling pieces of the suit he was wearing when he was arrested and photographed at an Atlanta jail. To get a piece of the suit, supporters had to buy 47 digital trading cards, totaling $4,653.
The former “Apprentice” host also monetized a photo of his arrest, taken at an Atlanta jail last August, and sold it on merchandise including coffee mugs and T-shirts.
