The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is back. Tyra Banks also returns.
The 50-year-old model icon, who appeared in nine shows during her time with the brand before retiring from modeling in 2005, strutted onto the catwalk on October 15 to the roar of the crowd as a “native New Yorker.” He made a comeback. I played.
Banks meant business as she strutted down the catwalk in a silver cape with black lining, a crystal-crusted bustier, sparkling leggings and heels.
Before appearing on the runway in New York City, the birthplace of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Banks teases the show’s return with Gigi Hadid, Victoria’s Secret’s other most famous face I also cooperated with that.
The modeling duo announced the news on Instagram in August with a sketch video soundtracked by Chapel Lawn, and Banks chimed in, commenting, “What we really need is a feminine nomenon!”

The sketch depicts Hadid star-struck by Banks before she accepted Banks’ invitation, months after Victoria’s Secret first announced the return of its annual fashion show. It was done.

In a statement shared with PEOPLE at the time, a representative for Victoria’s Secret echoed this promise of a show that reflects who the brand is today.
“The 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will deliver what our customers have been asking for – glamor, runway, fashion, fun, wings and entertainment – through a powerful, contemporary lens that reflects who we are today. We will deliver it accurately,” the statement said. “We’re thrilled to be offering a female-led account of this iconic property later this year!”

In September, Banks appeared on Victoria’s Secret social media again, admitting that she would be “crazy” to return to the show.
“It’s crazy to be back on the Victoria’s Secret runway,” she said in a joint post with the brand, adding, “When I say ‘Cray Cray’ I mean ‘Clay Cray. It means ‘good’.” To be honest, I never expected to be on this runway again. ”
The former ANTM host also told Harper’s Bazaar that walking on the show for the first time nearly 20 years after hanging up her wings in 2005 was “a bit of an out-of-body experience.” Practice!
“I left that runway, and I had this huge retirement, and it was so spectacular,” she told the outlet. “I felt like an athlete who was like, ‘I’m going to stop wearing cleats…I’m going to retire from basketball.'” And now, I’m back! ”
