Stephen Curry has made a living by striking opponents with three-pointer after three-pointer. More than any other player in history, the Golden State Warriors star inspires fear whenever he’s on the perimeter because of how he can suddenly turn things around and change the course of a game in an instant.
Curry has been in top form for the past 13 years and has made a number of memorable three-pointers, but two stand out as especially memorable for the Warriors star. In an interview with Under Armour Basketball during a tour of China, Curry revealed his two personal favorite three-pointers from his illustrious career.
“Four consecutive 3-pointers to close out the gold medal game, and the last one was kind of crazy, even by my standards, so that’s definitely in the top two all-around. I think the Oklahoma City game was one of those Mike Breen double-bangers, even though it wasn’t the championship game. It was just a flashy shot as we emerged as a team. But I think the golden dagger is up there. Top two,” Curry said.
In fact, it’s hard to argue otherwise: These are two of the most memorable 3-pointers of Stephen Curry’s career, which is incredible considering how successful he’s been in his career so far.
Of course, the string of 3-pointers he hit in the gold medal game against France at the 2024 Paris Olympics will live long in the memory. With France closing in on the win, Curry took control late in the fourth quarter, drilling four straight 3-pointers: a 3-pointer over Guerschon Yabusele to open the game, a step-back shot over Nicolas Batum and then a 3-pointer from the left wing over Nando De Colo.
But his fourth three-pointer was a lot harder. Despite facing a double team, Curry took an off-balance three-pointer to his right and smashed the ball into the basket, which unsurprisingly led to all-night celebrations to celebrate Team USA’s gold medal win.
And that three-shot that reverberated around the world against the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2016 is still incredible. Few players have the audacity or skill to take a shot from half-court when the game is decided.
Curry has years to add to his long list of iconic three-pointers, but it will be very tough for the Warriors star to top the two he has listed.

As Stephen Curry showed while playing for the United States at the 2024 Paris Olympics, he still has plenty of juice left, so it’s imperative that the Warriors put him in the best position possible to push forward in his quest for a fifth championship.
But given the depth of the Western Conference roster, the Warriors may have a tough time making the postseason, and they’ll need Draymond Green to stay cool and Andrew Wiggins to regain his 2022 form, at the very least, as well as Brandin Podziemski and Jonathan Kuminga to take big steps forward to become a championship contender.
Still, as long as they can stay healthy, they should be in contention for a top-six spot in the West.
