A Tesla Cybertruck was spotted towing a trailer carrying a statue of Elon Musk in Texas over the weekend, but the circumstances of the arrest are not yet fully clear.
On Sunday, SpaceX user SE Robinson Jr. shared a video of the Musk statue and Cybertruck taken by Sandra Helena Garcia in Brownsville, Texas. The Cybertruck appears to be covered in a matte black wrap, and the sighting took place near SpaceX’s Starbase in Texas.

At the time of writing, it’s not entirely clear where the statue is headed or what exactly it’s for, but Musk donated $30 million to Brownsville and Cameron County Schools in 2021, so it wouldn’t be too surprising if it’s related.
SpaceX is building a $100 million industrial factory at Starbase, located at 52190 San Martin Boulevard in Brownsville. The site will eventually include a five-story office building and about 1 million square feet of what SpaceX is calling a “special-purpose industrial factory.”
The company also announced plans to invest about $15 million in a shopping center in Brownsville that will initially include a grocery store, a cafe and several retail stores. As part of the project’s second phase, the center will also add a restaurant with an outdoor deck overlooking the Rio Grande River and about 3,500 square feet of indoor dining, with the entire project originally targeted for completion by the end of this year.
Earlier this month, CNBC claimed SpaceX’s StarBase was polluting water around Texas, pointing out violations of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for the company’s water deluge system. In response, SpaceX published an article in the X saying the article was “factually incorrect.” The company also added that it is working with TCEQ and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) officials and has permission to continue using the system as there are no harmful effects.
“Through ongoing coordination with both TCEQ and EPA, we have specifically asked whether we should cease operations of the Deluge System and have been informed that operations can continue,” SpaceX wrote. “TCEQ and EPA have allowed operations to continue because the Deluge System has at all times complied with the common conditions established by the individual permit and does not pose any harm to the environment.”
