Anyone else counting down the days until September? You’ve heard the term “false fall” and it’s definitely that time of year again. So, even though I’m in the mood for sweaters, I’ve been reaching for tees and tank tops lately. Laura recently shared this cute graphic tank top (currently on sale at Saks!) that’s just the right pick-me-up to get me through the next few weeks. It’s perfect for the transition between seasons, as it’s a lightweight jacket that you can slip on and off quickly on cool mornings or warm afternoons.

Hello everyone! It’s been a while. I just got back from an amazing cruise to Greece/Turkey with my family and school is just around the corner. Summer has flown by so quickly… I’m not ready for fall yet. I can already see Thanksgiving decorations in the stores… what? Let’s enjoy the last few days of summer!
In sale news, J. Crew swimsuits are up to 70% off ( this swimsuit is cute ), my favorite eyeshadow stick is on sale (it’s the easiest and quickest way to apply eyeshadow), and I’m also loving this long necklace that’s currently 25% off.
Have a nice weekend!
Jeans (27), Sweaters, Boots | Jeans (28)
1: These jeans from J.Crew that never go on sale (I know because I check all of their weekly sales reports) are finally on sale! I’m not kidding, I get compliments every time I wear them, and they come in three different lengths, so they fit perfectly. (The cashmere sweater and boots I’m wearing are on sale too!)
2: These PAIGE jeans are 60% off and will sell out fast… grab them while you can! What I’m wearing: Bodysuit (Medium, floral) | Bag

What if this week didn’t feel like the longest week ever? Who else did? Chris and I both agreed that by Monday evening it definitely felt like Thursday. So, it’s finally Friday! Today I’m helping out with a little one’s class (yes, did I mention that Elle is in the cutest 2-year-old preschool program ever? My heart…), so I’m going to keep this story super short.
Sadly, it’s pre-order only, but it’s ridiculously gorgeous and would look great under a blazer or a ladies’ jacket, or paired with trousers for date night. Paired with those things, it feels equal parts edgy and French. And my little travel steamer, which has been an essential these days (I don’t own an iron), is just $18 with a sale discount and promo code. All good stuff.

Amy said. (To no one’s surprise.) These are the only jeans I’ve had this week, and I wore them for 4 days before washing them. I wore them freshly washed only because I spilled matcha in them. So, yeah. Good. I’ll also add the black jeans to my cart to grab the promotion. They’re 100% cotton, so they’ll stretch over time, but I did size up so they don’t look sloppy. Also wearing: Tops | Flats (TTS)

The Gap homepage is just the energy I need this Friday (make sure you turn that little volume button up!). I’ve always said that in another life, I would be a dancer and do some funky dance moves on the Gap website (and of course tour the world with The Eras Tour), and seeing fun and unique choreography like this gets me so excited. I’m taking their “…relaxing means letting go of all the pressure you normally put on yourself” sentiment into my weekend and giving myself permission to relax before diving into my back-to-school schedule.
I expect big sales will be quiet for a while until Labor Day promotions kick in, but I did dig up a few gems: the famous boots that have been on my wishlist since last rainy season (they’ve literally been sitting in my cart for the past few weeks) are 25% off, plus the St. Tropez crewneck we’ve all had our eye on is finally 25% off (it’s also on sale here , or surprise, there’s even better deals here !).

Jeans (28) | Tops (L)
1: I hesitated for months to wear these jeans because they didn’t have any inseam length options and I was sure they wouldn’t work for my body type. The models wear them really low to make them a normal length, but these are considered high rise jeans lol. I was right, they don’t make my instep look long and the cropped length and thicker leg silhouette is amazing. These jeans are super lightweight and the waistband looks so flattering that combined with the wide leg, it looks like I have a waistline?! I don’t know. But I do know they’re 30% off this weekend and if you’re interested, this is a sign to buy.
2: One of the most exciting pieces for fall is this mock neck waffle knit top, which comes in a variety of seasonally perfect colors and is 30% off when you spend $99 or more.

Hey, it’s Friday! Well, school starts next Tuesday, so that means it’s officially/unofficially the end of summer. Looking forward to a long, lazy summer… this weather isn’t over yet! This is usually the time of year when I get to work on organizing my house, so I’ve started on some organization projects. So far, I’ve cleared out the fridge (never thought it would be so rewarding), I’m almost done organizing the bathroom, and my teenage daughter has also started tidying up her room. I know, it’s magical. Of course, I’m excited that my kids will be back to school soon, but I also love the energy of this time of year.
On sale. I’m still a fan of Gap’s current sale items. This soft-looking denim shirt on sale pairs well with the structured shirts I’ve been wearing lately. I love my giant Stanley 40oz Quencher, but this 30oz Iceflow Flip Straw Tumbler is my new BFF. It has a handle on top and is a manageable size for going to the ballet, adventures, and more. But it also comes with a straw, which is a must for me (use code TME20 to get 20% off this item). Oh, and our team’s favorite striped linen pants are currently marked down from $60 to $44, which I’ve been wearing lately too (I used this little quick hem tool from Amazon).

Cargo pants (M)
I’ve been loving these soft, comfy, cool cargo pants for the past two months, and they come in other great colors at Nordstrom for under $50. They adjust at the waist and ankles, are made from a soft, cotton-like material, and are super comfortable. I’ve worn them on plane rides, horseback riding in Aspen, and running errands. They feel on-trend but not pretentious. I love them.

Greetings from Sky Valley, Georgia! John and I drove 13 hours to spend a week with my parents in the Smoky Mountains. It’s so beautiful here. This is our second year here and it’s the highlight of the year. It’s so calm and peaceful and you can just soak in the beauty of nature. John and I are on a waterfall trail hunt and have been to three so far. Tomorrow we’ll be hitting two local flea markets and can’t believe we’ll pick up some fun vintage trinkets!
A denim trench coat is one of my most coveted items for my fall/winter wardrobe and I’m obsessed with this one from Gap (30% off at checkout) which I’ll definitely be shopping for today. Also, I’ve had my eye on these knockoff slingbacks from Ganni by Steve Madden for ages and they’re finally on sale! Right now I’m trying to decide between a white pair or a denim pair.

Jeans (29, small)
I absolutely love these MOTHER jeans, and they’re currently a whopping 50% off at Revolve. The dark blue denim is perfect for fall/winter style, and as always, I can’t get enough of the unique carpenter-style seams on the thighs. They’re not very stretchy, so I ordered a size larger than usual and they fit perfectly.
